Nike has announced the details and release date for their 2014 Basketball Series Elite Team collection.

Nike generally reserves the elite treatment of their top signature lines for the NBA playoffs. This year, as in 2013 it will consist of the LeBron, Kobe and KD series. We’ve seen the LeBron 11 Elite previously, and the Kobe 9 launched in elite form but this is our first real look at the KD VI Elite.

The Elite Team Collection features 3 colorways representing their players home team colors. Generally nike adds premium materials such as kevlar or carbon fiber to the shoe making them more durable and supportive. Generally this also raises the price of the kicks above their regular season silhouettes.

The 2014 Nike Basketball Series Team Elite Collection will drop 4/11at Nike Authorized retailers.

The 2013 collection is still available at steep discounts for some sizes and colorways to make room for the 2014 editions coming out.
