The latest signature series from Kevin Durant arrived this morning. The KD 9 “Pre-Heat” aka “Zero” dropped at foot locker and instantly sold out due to extremely limited quantities. Only hours in resellers are already netting $100 in profit on their flips. The 9th offering of Nike’s KD line features flyknit upper on a 360 air sole that looks remarkably similar to the immensely unpopular KD 8. New flyknit upper mixed with a lower price point of $150 may just breathe new life into this struggling line.

These changes in style and pricing for KD’s line may be related to the recent ousting of Michael Jackson as GM of Nike Basketball Division and reinstatement of Nike’s VP Craig Zanon to resume the role. Nike’s Basketball division has been suffering from slow sales and waning interest while struggling to move their products at retailers like Foot Locker.
