Nike has announced Air Max Con that will take place in New York City leading up to Air Max Day 2016. March 26th 1987 was the day Nike launched the Air Max and every year they like to do something special to celebrate the line. In 2015 we had the Air Max Zero release and the year prior the Air Max Day colorway of the AM1. This year a three day event features interactive displays and will surely see some exclusive kicks dropped to commemorate one of Nike’s most iconic lines.

A CELEBRATION OF AIR

On 3.24 Air Max Con kick starts a global celebration of Air Max Day. From 3.24-3.26, experience Air Max and its influence on sneaker culture and design. Vote back your favorite Air Max, be inspired by the world’s greatest sneaker designers, and explore an interactive showcase hosted by our Masters of Air—all in a setting that’s anything but conventional.
