OK, so at the top of each sneaker release page, we write a little about the colorway. The history and the meaning etc. Well these are just a mess. Jordan played in some charity game in Los Angeles back in 1988… during the Jordan 3 days. OK Charity Game makes sense. Something about international because he’s world famous, and flight because he’s Jordan? Not sure… International Flight I guess. And yeah, they’re red white and blue so, go ahead and call them USA if you’re feeling patriotic around the 4th of July. Honestly, these kicks got more names than a prison escapee on the lam.
But here’s what’s cool about these kicks. Besides being a fire red/true blue franken-kicks they feature MJ’d signature on the left tongue which is a nice touch, especially on signature kicks. The insole ties in the “international flight” theme. Again, dumb theme but I’m a sucker for unique insoles. The sneaker liner is also unique with this star/hex pattern which is a nice touch. These kicks really are a departure from the mundane that Jordan keeps pumping into their retro 3’s.
